Home Visits

If a home visit is required, please make your request between 8.30am and 10.30am. Details will be then given to the duty doctor, who will then contact you by telephone.

Please do not request a home visit unless you or the patient are too ill to come to the practice. Remember, a doctor can see five patients at the surgery in the time it takes to attend one home visit. Please use the service responsibly.

In the event of a life threatening emergency, such as severe chest pain, extreme shortness of breath or collapse dial 999 to call an ambulance immediately.

Repeat Prescriptions

If you are on regular medication you can order your monthly medicines in several ways:

  1. Online - Use SystmOnline to order your repeat medication.  To use this system you must complete registration forms in the practice to acquire a username and password.  Please come into the surgery and speak to one of the receptionists who will be able to help you.
  2. In Person - Return the prescription counterfoil indicating which medication you require and either hand into reception or post into the box on the wall in reception.
  3. By Post - post the prescription counterfoil indicating the medication you require to the surgery, enclosing a stamped, self-addressed envelope.  If posting your request please remember to give one weeks’ notice for a first class stamp and longer if using a second class stamp.
  4. Chemist - Some of the local chemists offer a collection service for the surgery.  Please ask your local chemist for details.

We are unable to take repeat prescription requests over the telephone.

When Will My Prescription be Ready?
